Tom Corbin was a dear close friend and I will miss him always. I miss him already. He was always there for me. We argued quite often especialy about my computer skills(lack off) but 10 minutes later it was forgotten.Through several difficult times in my life Tom was there for me and my family. He could be gruff and tuff but underneath that growl was a genuine helpful, humane man that loved his country, his family, veteran buddies, and the Vietnam Veterans of Chapter 32.
Tom has been the Chapter Treasurer and one of the mainstays over many years and two Presidents. He will be missed. Unfortunately, I am at VVA HQ for the next three days and will be unable to attend the funeral. Please extend my condolences to Donna, Tara and the rest of his family.
Hey buddy, it's not the White Castle hamburgers that I will miss, but the private conversations with you while having them. You have always been a great friend and very appreciated. As you have always served V V A - 32 so well I tried my best to show our love for your family. Now, may you have a restful sleep. Tom V E
I did not know Tom very well. But he seemed to be the type that i would want with me in a fox hole!!!! GOD BLESS TOM AND HIS FAMILY AT THIS TIME.Ed Benedict
I was speaking with Tom at the street fair last month. As usual we had a good time talking with each other as we sold hats. It never occured to me that when i said good-bye to him it would be our final farewell. Though it saddens me deeply as i only found out today my heartfelt condolences to his family.
I was shocked and saddened to get this news last week. Unfortunately, I was working up in Hawthorne last week and was unable to get back for the wake on time.
Tom was a really good guy & I always had a good chat with him, whenever I stopped by at an event. He usually told me about some health thing, and then would laugh when I "scolded him" about it.
He will be missed, and remembered fondly, and my thoughts & prayers are with Donna during this time.
A true friend I had in Tom.. I will miss him more than care to know.. he was just yelling at me on the Sunday b4 he passed. For something can't remember. . But I probably deserved it. R.I.P. GIVE MY POPS MY LOVE.
