Board of Directors Meeting BOD meeting began:March 16, 2022, 12:00Noon
1.     The attendance was taken: : Doug Williams, Paul Feddern, Mike O’Kane, Phil Scanlan, Tom Bullaro, Jay Markshied, Ray Orablo;  Al Ranni and Lennie Williams(incoming Treasurers); Bob Boiselle re: floral pieces and Fred Gundel PLAV Representative.    
2.     Open discussion of transition to Al Ranni and Lennie Williams with pointed discussions of scheduling of Selected Street Fairs.

4.  Overall Budget,  Structural Concerns and Admin:
    1)     Clearview is the Primary Event Planner for Street Fairs.
    2)    Can NOT raise money outside QUEENS borough.
    3)    Q: What is the purpose of earning money at Street Fairs? 
 A: ‘Outreach’, reach out to all Veterans, epecially returning Veterans to advise them of the services available to them and support them in gaining those services and benefits! Chapter supports Veterans Homes, such as Borden Ave and St. Albans with a number of items such as Televisions, Communications equipment (General Fund) and donations to various Nationwide Veterans Organizations for Recovery from incidents such as Storm Damage and Flooding (Louisiana, Kentucky and Florida). Replenish sale inventory, vehicles’ maintenance and fuel. Indigent Veteran Burial Program as well as Incarcerated Veteran rehabilitation programs.
    4)    Supplies: Lennie / Bob will pursue ie: Flushing and Knickerbocker, eBay etc Milk: need Medium and Large Pants, Field Jackets, shirts and t-shirts….  Hats ordered from website per Paul. ACTION ITEMS TBD
    5)    Call in to Rob, Clearview Events with final list of Accepted Street Fairs to obtain all permits. With our email address Rob will provide exact list of locations at each fair. Location can be changed if possible. Chapter pays a One-Time fee of $57 to Clearview. A 10’ x 10’ spot costs $75-$125. . Chapter is a ‘filler’ group and is not charged for a number of our fairs.     6)    Credit Card: add to both Discrepancy (DYCD) (subject to audit) and General Accounts.
    7)    Staples Credit Card already exists. 
    8)    Articles of Incorporation, EIN, Letterhead list of Board of Directors, 990 Federal Tax Form Non-profit.
    9)    Leadership conference in Greenville, S. Carolina on Chapter expense for meals, lodging and other approved expenses. 4 eligible / Chapter. DOUG WILLIAMS,  LENNIE WILLIAMS.

    1)    Memorial Day Parade May 29th  (in spite of construction) 69th St, down Grand, up Flushing Ave down 61st St, past PLAV.
    2)    Little Neck / Douglaston Parade: date conflict with Whitestone Parade as to date: Jay argued value of second largest event   Press Coverage, and Politicians favor it, Date is Saturday May 28th. Honorees Stated by Mike O’Kane. TBD
    3)    Elmhurst Memorial Celebration (Wed/Thurs?) Invite Melinda; Bob Holden; Sens. Adabbo and POSITIVE
    4)    9 Heroes Plaza, 108th St and 75th / 108th St and 75th / Broadway,  Louis Vollette Medal Of Honor Symbol at Flag Pole but not at nearby Grave. Chapter 32 instrumental in marker at Flag. Bob says he has enough ribbon for a ribbon. Sat 28th. ???
    5)    March 29,  National Vietnam War Veterans Day: March 29,  National Vietnam War Veterans Day: Elmhurst Park Vietnam Memorial 6:30 Vietnam Memorial 6:30 P.M. POSITIVE
    6)    55 Water St. Event March 26th Saturday from 9:00 00 A.M. On through day. All day is outdoors. Wreath Laying Event 11:30 - 12:30 at Plaza 55 Water St. With particular emphasis on this aspect for the Chapter. Bob will be willing to drive the bus. (Service and Inspection required for the bus).
