Ron Powers, Life Member and Past President of VVA Chapter 32 and Chairman of the Queens Veterans Foundation Inc. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran: a career Armor enlisted man who served as a tank commander in Vietnam. He was also a Minority Affairs Committee Chair and Chapter 32 delegate at the VVA NYSC. Was survived by wife Joan (now deceased) and adult children. Hope other Chapter 32 members can add to this bio.

Ron was attached to the 5th Cav of the 1st Cav Division in Vietnam.......he always replied
if you aren't CAV , you aint Sh^t. A funny guy will always miss top.Rest in Peace trooper.
